Welcome to Millfield Care Centre

Millfield Care Centre is designed to provide nursing, residential and respite care for frail elderly people over the age of 65. Situated in the picturesque village of Bolsover, near Chesterfield, the centre is encircled by charming private gardens and overlooks the beautiful local countryside. The centre has forty individual en-suite bedrooms and eight separate communal areas.

Services & Activities

We plan regular activities at Millfield, both at home and out with the centre where possible. In-house activities include table top games, bingo, movement to music and arts and crafts. We also enjoy regular outings to the local shopping centre and country parks. We have in-house Hairdressing, Optician, Dentist and Chiropodist. Any member of staff would be happy to arrange visits from other Professionals if required. We are also in the process of converting one of our in-house communal areas to a pub. Many of our service users are looking forward to the completion of the refurbishment and to enjoying a drink and a game of dominoes with friends.

Celebrations

This year marked our 10th Anniversary, with eight members of staff awarded our long service awards as they have been with us since the day we opened. Our services users enjoyed one of our regular entertainment evenings recently, with pie and pea supper and music from our wonderful singers.

We will be celebrating Christmas with a variety of festive events. Our Christmas fair took place recently and raised over £500. We will also be holding Christmas parties for family and friends including games for the children, a raffle and hot and cold buffet for all our guests.

Your Home

With occupancy of forty service users our dedicated team of nursing staff and carers are committed to maintaining the wellbeing of each and every service user at Millfield. Whatever your needs may be, we provide wheelchair access to all areas, assisted bathing, wide corridors and hoists as well as other special amenities. You are free to choose when you wish to socialise and when you prefer privacy. There are five comfortable lounges available for when you wish to spend time in the company of other service users.
